Arrival at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Meeting at the airport, transfer to the hotel. Registration.

Dinner in authentic Japanese restaurant “Nihon-Mitai” – Japanese cuisine cooked of sea products.

Sightseeing excursion by bus with tour guide accompaniment.

Evening skiing / snowboarding.

“Gorniy Vozdukh” is the best ski complex in the Far East corresponding European standards. The ski resort has different ski routes of different categories of difficulty. You will enjoy skiing on this resort because of its nature beauty and spectacular landscapes.

Ski resort “Gorniy Vozdukh” has 14 ski routes of different categories of difficulty. The highest point is 601 meter. The longest route is 4.4 kilometers. You can do snowboarding and skiing from December to middle of April. We recommend you to visit cafes and restaurants located on the territory of resort. Gondol-chair lift will bring you to the top of mountain Bolshevick, where you will admire the view on Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. In the evening the town begins to glow.

Visiting Tikhaya bay. This bay is located on coastline of Okhostk sea. This is one of the most incredible places on Sakhalin. You will go by bus about 3 hours and 135 kilometers. During this route you will visit Torii gates of Karafuto period. These gates were always set in front of Shinto temples. Also, we will have a stop in Vzmorye town, there we will taste fresh boiled Sakhalin crabs.

To the West from bay Tikhaya ridge Zhdako is located. In winter near the ridge sea is covered with ice and ice makes this place so beautiful. The waterfalls of Zhdanko ridge are the highest on Sakhalin island and in winter you can admire about 65 meters of clean ice. Dinner on the coastline, Far East delicacies and herbal tea with Sakhalin berries.

Day-off. Skiing / snowboarding on “Gorniy Vozdukh” resort

Also we recommend you to visit SPA complexes: : Eastern baths, sauna, hammam and Russian bath. These complexes are really enjoyable to visit in winter.

Going to Tatary strait. This is Southwestern coastline of Sakhalin island. We will go to Nevelsk town with our tour guide about 2 hours and 90 kilometers on asphalt road. The route goes via mountain pass, where you will admire Sakhalin mountains from observation decks. Nevelsk is a town located on the Southwestern coastline of Sakhalin island. This is one of the three towns in the world where you can see sea lions near the city from April to June. You will see new land which appeared after earthquake in 2007.

We will have an excursion and visit one of the best museums on Sakhalin island.

Walking along the coastline and then we will have a bath with sea water and hot dinner. And you will watch s spectacular scene on Tatary strait, which does not freeze on the South of Sakhalin island.

Returning to the hotel. Evening skiing / snowboarding. Supper (by yourself).

We are going CRABBING! Yes, you can catch a crab and taste it!

We will do crabbing near the campsite. You will enjoy having dinner: Ukha soup, scallops and, of course, your fresh-boiled crabs!

Visiting Sakhalin mountains.

Winter on Sakhalin is very snowy, so we will use snowshoes. We will go by car about 2 kilometers and then we are going by foot. We can assure you will like it, enjoy fresh mountain air, wonderful forest covered with snow. These landscapes will make you feel rest.
